On this page are some frequently asked questions regarding the College of Mount Saint Vincent’s new Admissions Portal. Q - I am currently in high school and noticed that the College of Mount Saint Vincent has two different online applications. Which application should I complete?

 A – All students who are currently in high school should apply to the College of Mount Saint Vincent using the Undergraduate College Application for Admission which can be accessed by clicking here 



Q – I am currently in high school but am interested in applying for the nursing program at the midtown Manhattan location. Should I still complete the Application for Admission through the Undergraduate College?

A – No. The nursing degree program offered at our midtown Manhattan location is for students who have earned at least 60 college credits from a regionally accredited institution. Our Manhattan-based nursing program has been set up to cater specifically to transfer and second degree nursing students.



Q – I am interested in applying to your nursing program and I currently have at least 60 college credits. However, I am not sure whether or not I would like to apply to the nursing program in Manhattan or Riverdale. Which application should I complete?

A – During the application process you have to choose which campus you would like to be considered for. If you are under the age of 25 and would like to apply to the main campus in Riverdale, then you should complete the application for admission to the Undergraduate College by click on this link.  If you are interested in applying to the midtown Manhattan site, no matter your age, you should complete the Application for Admission to the School of Professional and Continuing studies by clicking on the following link.  In the past, admitted students have been able to switch their “home” campus on a space available basis.

 

Q – I am currently in a degree program at another college, but am interested in applying for transfer to the College of Mount Saint Vincent. I am less than 25 years of age. Which application should I complete?

A – All students who are interested in applying to the College of Mount Saint Vincent who are under the age of 25 should complete the Application for Admission to the Undergraduate College. Click here to access the application. The only exception to this rule pertains to students under the age of 25 who have earned 60 college credits and are interested in applying to the nursing program at the midtown Manhattan site. In this case, student should complete the Application for Admission for the School of Professional and Continuing Studies (SPCS). You can access the SPCS application by clicking here.



Q – I have been out of school for many years, and recently have decided to go back to school to get my degree. I am an adult student. Which application should I complete?

A – The School of Professional and Continuing Studies (SPCS) works primarily with adult and graduate students. Whether you have been out of school for 5 or 25 years, the SPCS Application for Admission is the correct application for you to complete You can access the SPCS application by clicking here.



Q – I am a graduate student. Which application should I complete?

A – All graduate applicants should complete the Application for Admission through the School of Professional and Continuing Studies.  You can access the SPCS application by clicking here.



Q – I am a non-degree student. Is there an online application for me to complete?

A – At this time, all non-degree students should complete the registration form specific to the course they are interested in taking.
