Health Services
Health Services are available to students through the Health Center located in Spellman Hall, Room 217.  All registered students may seek assistance here at no initial charge (provided they have submitted all required health forms).  The Center does not seek to replace family health care providers, but rather to supplement that care during years when the student may not reside or study near home.

Care includes dispensing of non-prescription and prescription drugs, first aid, treatment of minor illnesses and medical referral for situations requiring more extensive medical care than the Center provides.  If the student is under the age of 18, attempts will be made to notify parents or guardians of any treatment.

A Nurse Director staffs the Health Center and there are limited on-campus Nurse Practitioner hours.  Regular infirmary hours are 9:00a.m. to 4:00p.m., Monday through Friday.  Access to physicians is arranged through outside referrals.

Students in need of emergency care during stated operating hours should report to or contact the Health Center directly.  If the nurse is not available and it is an emergency, contact Security.  If it is not an emergency, leave a voice mail message for the nurse. At other times, students should contact their R.A. or Security.
